July Favourites

Hey Guys!

I know that this post is overdue but I am trying to work out when to post favourites. Should it be on the 1st of every new month? Do I have a few days grace when it comes to posting favourites and hauls? Is there maybe a beauty blog guideline when it comes to this? If there is then please let me know.

I have been reaching for these goodies a lot the past month and thought I’d share them you.

I  ♥ Peaches!

The Body Shop Vineyard Peach Body Butter. Can you believe that this is the first Body Shop product that I own? I am a complete cheap skate. I always try to look for ways to save. Paying R200 for a lotion is something that I would never ever do! Then one day while browsing the shelves at Clicks I saw that this body butter was marked down by almost 50% aaaaaand it smelt like peaches. Anybody who knows me knows I love the smell of peaches. So half-price body butter that smells like peaches is a win win situation lol! I am absolutely in love with this body butter. It is so thick and creamy but doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy. The smell lasts all day and it’s just so yummy. I love it so much I will even pay full price when I repurchase. lol!

Sniffles?

Texa Allergy Syrup. I was advised to try this by a colleague after hearing how frustrated I was by my GP who kept giving me Allergex syrup when I took Pudding for yet another check up for his runny nose. Pudding has been suffering from the sniffles forever. He doesn’t have a fever or any other flu symptoms but the runny nose. I kept taking him to the doctor and he kept giving me Allergex even though I told him that it hasn’t been working. I got this at Clicks Pharmacy and paid about R105. I’m telling you this shit works like a bomb,I used it and the next day Puddings nose was all dried up. I will make sure I always have this in the medicine cabinet as it’s a definite winner.

Long lashes for days

Avon True Colour SuperExtend Extreme Length Mascara. I have been using this mascara for a while now. I honestly have nothing bad to say about this baby. It does what it says it will do. It’s super black, gives my lashes extreme length and its waterproof. This mascara has tiny little fibres in it that sticks to your lashes giving the illusion of super long lashes. Two coats of this and it looks like a have a pair of falsies on. The fibre doesn’t flake and sticks like glue. It’s a mission to even get it off but my micellar water does the job for me.

Plump Lips…

Avon 3D Plumping Lipgloss in Nude. I don’t know why but I’m starting to get back into the glossy lip trend again. I will always love a good matte lippie but with it being winter and my lips being a dry mess I just feel that a glossy lip is much better. I chose this pinky nude shade as I wanted something that would hide a little bit of the pigmentation that I have on my lips. Unfortunately it’s more of a clear gloss with tiny little gold shimmers. As for the plumping effect, it does plump my lips just a tiny little bit,It also has a minty scent and your lips feel all tingly while wearing it. The brush on this lipgloss is so cool. It’s not the normal doe-foot applicator but an actual lip brush.

My tiny lil brow pencil

Essence Brow Designer in Dark Brown. This is the very first brow product that I ever purchased. I never plucked, waxed, tinted or did anything to my brows. I always felt that my brows were already too thin so I just didn’t want to do anything to it. I thought that my natural shape was perfectly fine. Little did I know how much of a difference well-groomed eyebrows makes to your face. One day I just went to a salon and had my brows waxed and ever since then I’ve been brow obsessed. I now pluck them, fill theme, carve them, etc. This brow pencil is one of my holy grails. I use it the shape and fill my brows before carving with concealer. The colour is a perfect match. I need to get a new one soonest as this one is already so short after all the sharpening.

So that’s my faves for July. It was fun putting this post together. If you have any tips with regards to when these types of posts need to be done then let me know.

Till Next Time

Hugs and Kisses

Nadez
