Today I will share my review on The Body Shop Early-Harvest Raspberry Body Butter with ya’ll. I picked this up at Clicks and it was on sale. Whoop Whoop!!! I absolutely love my body butters as it provides enough nourishment to my dry skin. Let’s get into the review shall we.
♥ Ingredients
Aqua/Water/Eau, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Butter, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Cera Alba/Beeswax/Cire d’abeille, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil, Bertholletia Excelsa Seed Oil, Dimethicone, Parfum/Fragrance, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Seed Oil, Xanthan Gum, Disodium EDTA, Tocopherol, Sodium Hydroxide, Linalool, Citric Acid, CI 14700/Red 4, CI 17200/Red 33.
♥ Packaging
The body butter comes in the standard 200ml tub. The colour of the tub corresponds to what is inside, in this case it was a bright pink tub for raspberry body butter. The lid is the standard black lid topped with a giant raspberry sticker which screws open. Some people do not like the packaging as it can seem bulky but I actually don’t mind. It’s easy to stack on top of each other without taking up too much space. I like that it’s sturdy aswell so I don’t have to worry about it breaking if it falls.
♥ Price
I paid R100 for this body butter when it usually goes for R170. Some may think that R100 is expensive but I don’t mind paying that price because it lasts long and it’s an amazing product. That’s a lot coming from me as I’m a cheap skate and usually I would not even bother if I saw this price.
♥ My Thoughts
Because of the lymphoedema my legs swell up really bad and the skin sometimes has these tiny little cracks from the stretching. I constantly need to keep my legs moisturized to avoid this. I find that these body butters are the only lotions that keep my skin nourished throughout the day. It’s so rich and creamy and really provides more than enough hydration without leaving me all greasy and sticky.
A little also goes a long way. With my peach body butter I took ages to reach pan. I also love that it absorbs so quickly into my skin. You’d think that because the cream is so thick that one would have to rub forever before it soaks in but not with this lotion.
Lastly I LOVE LOVE LOVE the raspberry scent. I might love it even more than the peach one *gasp*. It’s so fresh and fruity. If I could I’d probably scoop some up and eat it. It smells that good! The scent also lasts the entire day on my skin which is amazing.
Overall I am obsessed with this body butter. I can’t wait to get my hands on a few more. At a reduced price of course!
