{Review} Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Sheet Masque

Hey Guys!

How are you all doing on this beautiful but scorching hot day. I wanted to do a full face beat today but I know I will sweat it all off in seconds. Cape Town is literally burning, I came from the mall in the week and I spotted 4 fires! It’s insane! We desperately need some rain over here.

But enough about that. Today I’ll be reviewing a sheet mask that I actually purchased a while ago. I actually wish I had one of these babies right now just because it’s so cooling.

♥ Packaging

These come packaged in the typically bright coloured Montagne Jeunesse wrapping.  The front will be the name and a model using the mask. The back will have instructions and ingredients. I think that they try to cram every last little bit of information on the package and it’s just too much. The people designing these packages just need to calm the eff down. That’s just my opinion.

♥ Price

I paid R32.95 for the mask at Clicks which is perfectly fine for me. Super cheap = happy Nadine.

♥ Ingredients

The key ingredients are Dead Sea Salt, Red Algae and Seaweed.

Dead sea salt has multiple health benefits. It soothes and relieves skin cells and also nourishes and hydrates your skin.

Red Algae helps enhance the skin’s barrier function and it also helps increase moisture-retention, leaving your skin looking and feeling hydrated.

Seaweed is a natural anti-inflammatory. It helps fight acne and opens your pores.

♥ Claims

Need to feel pampered and rejuvenated? Let the mineral rich Dead Sea Salt, soothing pressed Seaweed & red Algae revive tired, stressed out skin leaving it smooth and rehydrated.

♥ My Thoughts

Soooo… I had an off day and decided to pamper myself and whipped out this mask. When I cut open the package the mask was neatly folded up and I could see that it was soaking in the serum. Now I don’t know what shape face they were going for but this mask was way to big for me and it didn’t fit nicely into all the nooks and crannies of my face. This is the first time I’ve ever used a sheet mask so I wasn’t sure if this is how it should be.

Once I was done trying to get the right fit I relaxed on the couch and watched some tv, well I tried to relax but that did not really happen because the mask kept lifting from the corners and didn’t really stick well so for 10 mins I kept having to press it down all the time.

Excuse the doek! lol! That’s how I roll on my off days.

Anyway…. after keeping it on for 10 to 15 mins I removed the mask, massaged the serum into my skin and rinsed.

You can see where the mask lifted off my face.

Besides the ill fit of the mask I was quite happy. The mask was so refreshing as there is menthol in it so my skin felt nice and cool when I had it on.

The scent was also nice and delicate, not to overpowering which I loved.

My skin immediately felt a little softer and a little more hydrated. I could definitely feel a difference. It actually relaxed my skin if that makes sense.

If Montagne Jeunesse worked on getting the fit of the mask right I would most definitely purchase it again. I would also recommend this to everyone who is looking to try out an affordable sheet mask. It really is the shiz!

Till Next Time

Hugs and Kisses

Nadine
