Hope you all are doing fabulous! I’m soooo glad that JanuWorry is finally over. I’m well and truly back into the swing of things and I’m looking forward to what February has in store for me.
I’m excited to be sharing my first favourites post for the new year. I had a real hard time deciding on which products to choose but I’ve managed to settled on six of them. I’ve been reaching for these items the most since December.
♥ Catrice Ultra Stay And Gel Base Coat R59.95
Surprisingly I got this base coat at Pick n Pay, I didn’t even know they stock Catrice Cosmetics lol! I was in desperate need of a base coat and this one caught my eye because it was on special for about R30. I haven’t seen these at Pick n Pay again but you can get them at your local Dischem. The base coat made it onto my favourites list because it is all that and a bag of chips. It makes my nail polish last a few days extra. Even my cheap china town polishes lasts a bit longer when I use this.
♥ Colours Limited Blush +-R30
I grabbed this blush because I wanted to try one with a shimmer in it as I’m used to using matte blushes. When I started using it I immediately fell in love, I haven’t even touched the matte one since. It’s such a pretty berry shade with just a hint of shimmer. The Colours Limited range can be purchased at Foschini and they have a whole range of other products which are dirt cheap.
♥ Rimmel Fix & Protect Primer R109.95
After I purchased this primer at Foschini I was a bit nervous because I know that SPF can cause flashback. However, I have not experience any flashback at all which I’m so relieved about. What’s worse than leaving the house for a night out with your makeup on fleek just to see yourself looking like your dipped your face in a bag of flour when taking pics. Not cool! I have been luuuuurving this lil baby. It has these tiny little shimmer particles that gives you a subtle glow. It also preps your skin for flawless makeup application.
♥ La Girl Pro Concealer in Beautiful Bronze R59.95
So when I decided to try out cream contouring I watched a few YouTube videos (obviously lol!) and every second vlogger used this concealer. I got it at Dischem and it works great! It’s so easy to blend and is perfect for someone who is a beginner at contouring.
♥ Yardley Stayfast Liquid Matte Lip Vinyl in Engine Red R119.95
I’ve been eyeing this lippy for the longest time and I finally got it in December. This is the most vivid shade of red lipstick that I own. It’s so bright and lasts suuuuuuper long even through eating and drinking. I really wish Yardley could add more shades.
♥ EcoTools Perfecting Blender Duo
I’ve saved the best for last 🙂 I was lucky enough to win a stunning brush set from EcoTools and was too pretty to use so I’ve just kept it in the box for ages. In the set were 6 brushes and two sponges, one normal size and the other smaller. I’ve ony included the bigger sponge because this one was by far the star of the show. I have never ever felt a sponge this soft. I do not own any other branded sponges such as the Real Techniques one or the Cala one nevermind the original BeautyBlender but it was waaaaaaaaaaaaay better than any of my cheapies. It swells to double the size once I wet it and did I mention how soft it is? It has the perfect bounce and doesn’t soak up too much product. I could honestly go on and on. There is only one downfall though. After washing my sponge I noticed teeny tiny tears in it 😦 😦 😦 😦 I’m not gonna go into too much detail because I want to do a full review for you guys. I know that you can find these at Clicks but it’s not on their site as of yet.
And that’s it 🙂
